And these families range from upper-middle class to working-class, white collar to blue collar, and everything in between.
The low cost of living and the presence of the Pratt Institute of Art has led to a growing arts community in Clinton Hill, including galleries and several high schools catering specifically to artistically-talented students. Pratt, along with St. Joseph’s college, also ensures a healthy dose of students in the neighborhood, which in turn provides for a variety of coffee shops, bars and pubs, and cheap food options. Below the college level, Clinton Hill features an extremely large number of schools, both public and private, giving parents plenty of options as to where to send their children.
Clinton Hill’s diverse makeup accounts for the number and variety of houses of worship in the neighborhood. Churches cater to dozens of different denominations, and Clinton Hill is also home to temples, synagogues, and other religious institutions.
The A and the C subway lines are the primary means for residents of Clinton Hill to enter Manhattan, while the G provides service to the rest of Brooklyn. Additionally, there are an abundance of bus stops threaded throughout the neighborhood.
With shops ranging from exclusive, high-end boutiques to fashionable, low-cost used-clothing stores and restaurants to suit any taste, Clinton Hill boasts an extremely impressive array of consumer opportunities.
